L.I.F.E. Groups

L.I.F.E. Groups are a very important part of the ministry at Lehman Avenue, providing an opportunity for Christians to connect and develop close friendships.

Our L.I.F.E. groups have four major functions:

  • Love – We want to see each Christian grow more and more in his love for God and others. Jesus Himself said that the greatest commandment involved loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and secondly, loving our neighbors as ourselves.
  • Involvement – We want to make sure that our members are involved in ministry. Life groups are a place where they can get involved and be an active part of the congregation.
  • Fellowship – We are called by God to be connected to one another. The church is called the family of God, or God’s household, in scripture. As we meet together and encourage each other God will bless our lives. Fellowship is an important and vital part of our Life Groups.
  • Evangelism – In scripture we are called Christ’s ambassadors. Jesus gave His disciples and us the great commission in Matthew, chapter 28. The Life Groups are involved in follow up with our visitors to identify those in need of the gospel as well as edifying members through mail and visitation

Young At Heart

The Young at Heart group is a ministry to seniors, with seniors and by seniors. The purpose of this ministry is to involve Christians, 55 years of age and more, to continue serving God, His Son and His Church for as long as their health allows them to do so. Senior Adults are one of the greatest assets that a church can have. They often have the time, energy, talents and resources that are needed to function as the Lord’s volunteers to do a variety of ministry projects.
